Agar Canada Corporation Impacts the Local Community

Upon opening its doors in 2008, Agar Canada Corporation (ACC), a subsidiary of Agar Corporation Ltd, has made a commitment to its surrounding community through its support of the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank. Established in 1982, the Food Bank provides assistance to Calgary families in need through a variety of programs including Hampers for the Homeless and the Emergency Food Hamper Program, among others.

ACC’s management team (shown below) was present for the donation grant. During the ceremony, Mr. Shani stated: “ACC is dedicated to providing its customers with superior measurement and process control solutions that streamline operations, increase efficiencies, and optimize resources. In that sense, the recent donation to the Food Bank for the purchase of an automated sorting machine is aligned with ACC’s core competency and its philosophy”.

Mr. Mahoney added: “By applying strategic thinking and utilizing the latest automation tools, each operation, be it the world’s largest oil company, or a local charitable food bank, can realize a higher level of operational efficiency. Agar Canada’s capabilities and support of its clients’ needs will be at the service of the community we live in.”

Mrs. Krygier concluded: “ACC is proud to continue a longstanding corporate tradition, of giving back to the local community, which is actively supported by each of Agar’s six subsidiaries”.
